Next Step is the leading government drug and alcohol treatment service in Western Australia providing a range of clinical services. The treatment services provided by Next Step include:

  • The Inpatient Withdrawal Unit at East Perth
  • Outpatient services at East Perth and via integrated Community Alcohol and Drug Services at six metropolitan locations
  • An onsite pharmacy service based at East Perth
  • Outpatient and inpatient youth services via the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Youth Service.
  • Community programs including the Community Pharmacotherapy Program and the Clinical Advisory Service.

Next Step is part of the Treatment Services Management directorate of the Mental Health Commission.

About you

We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic applicants for the role of Manager Clinical Safety and Quality.

About the role

The Manager Clinical Safety and Quality governs and leads the Next Steps Safety, Quality and Risk, Education and Innovation agenda to ensure the development, implementation, and effective coordination of safety, quality and risk activities, workforce learning and development and service improvement and innovation initiatives. The successful applicant will provide high level strategic and operational advice to the Executive team on matters related to safety and quality, workforce learning and innovation and management.

In undertaking the role of this position, the occupant will need to recognise that there is a commitment to focussing on the needs of the individual, their families, carers or advocates working in partnership for better mental health outcomes.
