Indigo Shire Council is seeking our next Manager of Community Development. Working from the Beechworth office, you will bring your passion and expertise into a team that values your knowledge and experience.
As our next Manager of Community Development, you will be able to:
- lead and manage the delivery of key service areas including but not limited to, emergency management and recovery, recreation, arts and culture, young people, early years, maternal and child health, ageing well, access and inclusion, placemaking/community planning and library services.
The position will:
- Provide social and community planning expertise across a broad range of policies, projects and programs for the Indigo Shire and work across Council divisions to ensure integrated approaches to shire wide planning.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to advocate and improve community outcomes and wellbeing indicators across the Shire.
- Proactively monitor community trends and identify and deliver evidence-based service improvements across responsible portfolios.
- Advance place making / community planning in targeted communities through integrated planning and implementation of actions to underpin long term futures for each place.
- Identify and secure funding for strategies and programs.
- Participate in Councils Emergency Management arrangements including planning and preparedness activities.
- Undertake all responsibilities of the Municipal Recovery Management during emergency events
