In this role, you'll
Work with our Electrical Asset Management team within the Engineering and Maintenance Branch of Sydney Trains with a focus on managing the physical electrical assets across the Sydney Trains + NSW Trains networks on behalf of TfNSW.
This role will see you managing a small team and providing your expertise in overhead wiring and systems that feed the rail network and ultimately provide significant operational impact to our services that meet our stakeholders expectations and needs.
You will be focused on the training of staff, making sure our asset management is up to date, work with the planning teams around the delivery for scope of works as well as making sure the business is supporting the operations of the network.
This will also see you meeting with external stakeholder project groups, dealing with ministerial requests for any defects and issues as well as regulatory requirements for overhead feeders.

About you
Your tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience will be in a related engineering field or rail maintenance management. This will include a proven knowledge of electrical power system and distribution which will include, overhead 1500 volt DC systems.
Your recognised as having the ability to work to tight deadlines and function as a mentor to a team, with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage stakeholder relationships.
In addition to this, you have the problem solving and project management skills that will enable you to successfully apply your electrical power system and distribution knowledge to the development of large-scale medium to long term asset maintenance and capital works programs.
This is an Award RC7 Permanent Full-Time role based in Hornsby with a number of metropolitan offices to work from, with flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model!
