Access theThe Townsville Hospital and Health Service vision is world-class healthcare for northern Queensland.Our purpose is `great care every day'.About your opportunityThis position will lead a team of Senior Employee Relations Advisors to provide advice on industrial relations, complex case management, human resource policy, industrial framework, employment matters and support to organisational stakeholders to drive consistency of practice.It is an expectation to represent the Townsville HHS as an industrial advocate within a variety of forums including the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, Queensland Human Rights Commission and Fair Work Commission.The role will be responsible for developing detailed submissions and briefings and work closely with the Executive Director People, Strategy and Governance to recommend appropriate strategies for successful and timely resolution of complex workplace and industrial relations matters.Travel will be required in this position both within the Townsville HHS and throughout Queensland, which may include travel by small aircraft.Generous remuneration package value up to $161,717 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range of $132,072 to $141,738 p.a. (AO7)
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant field to the specialisation required by the role (for example human resources, industrial relations, labour law) would be highly desirable, with additional post graduate level qualifications/professional certifications preferable.
- Extensive demonstrated experience in a role with similar complexity would be well regarded.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with relevant professional bodies.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
