CommBank’s CommSec Operations team is looking for a Manager to join and lead our Estates Management & Maintenance team within CBA’s Market Operations business. Sitting within our Chief Operating Office (COO), our Market Operations business is a team of 400 Operations Professionals who support our Markets, CommSec, Trade Finance, Treasury and Payments businesses globally.
The Role.
You will lead and manage a team of 20-22 Associates who are dedicated to providing superior client service on CommSec’s products. The team has two core functions including to maintain and action maintenance requests for CommSec products from our valued customers and to ensure all Estates and deceased accounts are processed in accordance with legislative requirements as well as relevant Policy and Procedures while delivering a consistently positive customer experience.
You will help maintain and nurture a high performing team and a values-focussed culture and will mentor and coach team members on best practice while providing support on any escalations until their resolution. You will also ensure all client requests are actioned within the agreed SLA and will build and maintain strong relationships with internal managers, internal departments, external clients and regulatory bodies in order to resolve any issues that may arise.
On any given day you will:
- Lead, guide and mentor the team and provide regular feedback to staff in monthly one on one discussions
- Ensure team cohesion while ensuring the team is adequately resourced to the required volume of work
- Drive productivity initiatives within the team, active participation in continuous improvement opportunities and maintain effective and streamlined practices
- Report any exceptions to business rules or potential breaches to Compliance & Executive Manager
- Conduct Performance and Annual Reviews and ensure that KPIs and objectives are established for each position in the team.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
You will have strong Operations skills and experience and will have some experience in leading a team from the Estates or Equity point of view, although this is not mandatory. You will be able to build and maintain strong working relationships and will be able to work autonomously while using strong initiative and problem solving skills in order to support your team.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, time management and analytical skills
- Strong Productivity knowledge and ability to drive continuous improvement culture within team
- Solid people management and team building skills to ensure high morale is maintained to drive a positive and inclusive team culture
- Demonstrated liaison skills for dealing with clients and service providers
