Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeLocation: SydneyType: Permanent, full timeThe opportunityOur Group Enterprise Risk Management team is looking for an experienced and talented individual to manage the embedment and continual uplift, including training requirements, of risk and control self-assessments (RCSA), incidents and issues (I&I) management, risk and control libraries (RCL), integration and implementation into the risk system (RSA Archer) and associated reporting, policies and standards across the global organisation, ensuring consistency of application with the Risk Management Strategy.The role will be responsible for working across the QBE Group globally to drive alignment and agreement of the implementation approach, embedding QBE Group Standards and providing subject matter expertise to the Divisional Risk and Compliance Teams and the relevant business areas in relation to RCSA’s, I&I Standard, RCL’s and the integration of these into the new RSA Archer risk system. This role will also be responsible for identifying and executing on areas of continual uplift and ways to modernise and simplify the process.In addition, the role may include executing on strategic initiatives as required.Your new roleAs a part of the 2nd line Group Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team, you will be responsible for the following objectives:Managing the implementation, embedment and ongoing enhancement of the incidents and issue management standard, monitoring adherence to the risk and control self-assessment (incl. risk and control libraries) approach/standard, integration into the RSA Archer system and assisting to drive the training and reporting requirements across the organisation.Providing subject matter expertise to Divisional Risk and Compliance Teams on risks, controls, incidents and issues in line with the associated Standards and subsequent capture in the RSA Archer system.Developing and running associated reporting requirements, including automation in system as required. This will involve working closely with the Risk Systems team.Ensuring consistent application of the Risk Management Strategy and Enterprise Risk Management Framework as it relates to the management of QBE’s material risks and any associated policies and standards, specifically the RSCA and incident and issue management Standards.Executing on strategic initiatives as required.Engagement with and management of the relationship with the key stakeholders within the Divisional Risk and Compliance Teams.Understanding key internal stakeholder requirements and needs across the three lines of defence.Please note that for the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, 2/3 interviews (either face to face or online via Teams) and background checks.About youExperienced in managing, implementing and embedding risk and control self-assessments and incidents and issues across 1st line, 2nd line and in a risk system (e.g. RSA Archer), in accordance with the associated Standards, either in a financial services organisation or within the insurance industry.Ability to bring better practice and uplift to an organisations practices.Experienced in documenting, maintaining and enhancing policies and standards to define the approach for managing risk across and organisation.Experienced in defining and delivering training to teams in relation to key activities for managing risk in an organisation.Ability to work in a project/transformation environment.Experience working in a large or global financial services organisation.Ability to provide valued subject matter expertise and advice in relation to the above.Ability to influence senior leaders and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.About QBEWe can never really predict what’s around the corner, but at QBE we’re asking the right questions to enable a more resilient future – helping those around us build strength and embrace change to their advantage.We’re an international insurer that’s building momentum towards realising our vision of becoming the most consistent and innovative risk partner.And our people will be at the centre of our success.
