Manager, Health & Safety Systems and Risk
WORK LOCATION: Perth
ROSTER: Monday - Friday
The Manager Systems and Risk shall be responsible for the development and implementation of Fortescue Future Industries Health and Safety Management System, compliance to Fortescue's Global Management System, Risk Management and Contractor Management programs. This role is responsible for managing a multi discipline team with Health and Emergency Management also falling into the role's responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Global Health and Safety Management System.
- Establish a process for maintaining compliance to Management System standards and legislative requirements.
- Ensure timely reporting to internal & external regulators in all areas of health & safety compliance.
- Manage and embed the Fatality Risk and Major Hazard Program.
- Embed Health and Safety Contractor Management program.
- Ensure Emergency Management resourcing is in place to effectively manage an emergency.
- Provide oversight to health management to ensure screening processes are in place as well as enabling Wellness Programs.
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent)
- Lead Auditor Qualified (WHS Management Systems)
- At least 15 years experience in Health and Safety
- Working knowledge of Heath & Safety legislation, relevant standards and codes of practice
- Knowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining HS management systems
- Understanding of Risk Management programs
- Exposure to Health and Emergency management, Process Safety or Safety in Design is desirable
- Must have had experience in managing and leading similar multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to consult and influence throughout all levels of the organization
- Ability to problem solve and make practical decisions in a high stress environment
- Ability to manage time well and prioritize works
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability influence, mentor and coach members of the team and internal stakeholder groups in their area of responsibility
