Job description

The Role

The Manger, Integrated Care provides coordination and management of the Secondary Triage service for Ambulance Tasmania and is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the development and management of Integrated Care initiatives in Ambulance Tasmania (AT).

  • Provide strategic and operational planning advice and recommendations to inform the development of Integrated Care initiatives in AT, including secondary triage and Extended Care Paramedics (ECPs).
  • Liaise and collaborate with hospitals, emergency services and other health and community care providers to establish and formalise service delivery arrangements for the provision of alternative referral pathways for low-acuity patients to better meet the medical care needs of patient cohorts, such as aged care and mental health patients.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical determinants, protocols, guidelines, and practice standards for secondary triage and other Integrated Care initiatives.
  • Develop policies, procedures, guidelines, clinical determinants and practice standards for Integrated Care initiatives, in accordance with the clinical governance for AT’s Secondary Triage.

Details of Appointment

Permanent full time, day worker (with on-call) position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary

$146,161 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania Agreement 2022

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Paramedic Science or other qualification approved by the service and relevant work experience with additional qualification/s in management or equivalent.

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
