About the Unit
Lifetime Learner Experience (LLE) Unit is part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Students portfolio and was formed in 2021 to enable the alignment of a range of learner acquisition, administration and assurance activities which are critical to the success of the UTS 2027 Strategy and in supporting the UTS Vision.
The LLE Unit consists of three (3) functions:
- Future Learners - approx. 100 FTE
- Current Learners - approx. 100 FTE
- Operations - approx. 25 FTE (excludes casuals)
About the role
The Manager, International Pathway Programs is responsible for leading and directing the development and execution of the University's strategy for International Pathways, achieving the revenue generation through the admission of quality international students via the partnership driven recruitment channels.
This position will design and execute innovative and sustainable business development and partnership strategies aimed at building the University's profile and increasing full award student numbers through the pathways pipelines.
The role is critical for UTS to grow its business development capability and to stay competitive in the international articulation market and for the team to deliver high-standard support, engagement, development and communication required for UTS to benefit suitably from the opportunities.
If successful in applying for this role, you will be:
- Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries related to the development and enhancement of academic pathways with and for UTS.
- Providing strategic recommendations to senior managements and faculties on potential pathway leads and opportunities as needed.
- Navigating and managing relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders in a dynamic marketing environment, ensuring the University's interests are protected.
- Designing and executing effective recruitment strategies aimed at attracting pathway students to meet university enrolment targets.
- Implement and continuously improve administrative processes, procedures, and systems to ensure the efficient management of Pathway Programs with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Overseeing the establishment of new Pathway Programs, ensuring that recruitment, admissions, and ongoing service delivery to incoming International Pathway students are handled efficiently and effectively
- Providing guidance and leadership to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following four (4) key selection criteria:
- Demonstrated ability to identify lucrative pathway opportunities and negotiate both internally and externally at senior level on behalf of the University to gain buy-in of UTS senior management, Faculties and external stakeholders
- Proven planning, review and project management skills with a strong commitment to achieve organisational goals
- Strong working knowledge of global trends and issues in international education activities, legislative, governance and quality assurance regulations, particularly the impact on international student movement and recruitment
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in delivering executive level reports and presentations
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $134,476 to $140,880 pa (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
