Are you passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive student experience for our International Students? The University of Wollongong is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Manager, International Student Engagement, to lead the transformation of the International Student experience at UOW. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading a team to develop innovative programs and activities that facilitate a smooth arrival and onboarding process for International Students, as well as belonging and connection to the university.
The Manager, International Student Engagement will work collaboratively across the institution to ensure programs, activities and services are aligned to the design principles outlined in the International Student Experience Framework and to deliver a cohesive suite of activity that enhances student belonging from pre-arrival through the living and learning phases of the student lifecycle and as students transition out of their studies at UOW.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification and previous experience in working with International Student cohorts. Essential qualifications include experience in leading teams, program design and implementation, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders. A commitment to continuous improvement, utilizing current and emerging technologies in higher education, and applying inclusive, culturally respectful practices is essential. Being bilingual and speaking multiple languages is desirable.
