Your team:
You will be part of the Colonial First State (CFS) Technology Line 1 Risk Team supporting the business and will also be actively part of the CFS Technology Extended Management Team. Line 1 Technology Risk is a team of risk, technology, cyber and data specialists supporting CFS Technology and the broader CFS business in the delivery of their outcomes within an effective risk culture.
Your responsibilities:
- Driving a positive risks culture across our stakeholders
- Maintaining strong professional expertise in risk management approaches
- Assessing Technology, Cyber and Data risks and controls and reporting key themes in line with the CFS Risk Framework
- Gathering and analysing risk reports (including KRIs, IT Incidents PIR's) and data to identify and understand risks.
- Managing the remediation of issues and incidents with business stakeholders identified through audits and internal stakeholders.
- Undertaking reviews of control testing to ensure controls are effectively managing risks and applicable compliance obligations (i.e. CPS 231, CPS 234 and CPS 235)
- Ensuring effective design of controls for all new and changing processes through the Risk in Change (RiC) framework and working with Line 1 Risk and project stakeholders across CFS to understand the impact to the CFS risk profile from projects.
- Actively involved representing Technology Risk on the Transformation program of work including assisting with Technology Risk Assessments (TRAs), understanding the impacts of the change to the Technology Risk and controls, and providing technology risk advice on Technology delivery risks associated to the program of work.
Your capability and experience:
- Proven experience in technology and / or operational risk management, preferrable in a Technology Risk function
- Experience with Risk in Change and/or Supplier Risk functions preferred.
- An advanced understanding and knowledge of the Risk and control environment and framework with proven experience with operational and Compliance risks
- Autonomous and able to escalate issues where appropriate.
- Ability to support and manage a large and varied stakeholder group at all levels of seniority across Business Units outside immediate area.
- Advanced understanding and implementation of Risk Management Frameworks, Controls and a sound grasp on Agile Delivery / New Ways of Working
- Understanding of risk management frameworks and relevant certifications (e.g. GS 007, ASAE 3402, SOC II, COBIT, ISO2700x)
- Ability to analyze trends, identify critical threats and opportunities, diagnose problems and issues, and recommend appropriate actions.
