The opportunity
Reporting into the Head of Cyber Risk in GHO, the IT Risk Manager (Line 2) is responsible for the continued operation and embedment of the Group wide risk management framework. You will work closely with Group and Divisional Risk line 2 teams along with Group Cyber and IT to ensure QBE continues to manages Cyber and IT Risk including meeting its regulatory compliance commitments.
Your new role
Incident and Issue Management analytics/insights/reporting and follow up i.e. ensuring escalations completed where necessary, agree on remediation plans and review, challenging extensions and risk acceptances, review evidence and challenge closure of Issues and Incidents.
Assist in establishing and maintaining metrics for Cyber / IT and perform monitoring over key risk indicators and other IT risk related metrics on a regular basis.
Control Validation across IT and Cyber Risk subclass controls performed by Line 1.
Co-ordination and planning of RCSA/risk profile process across Cyber / IT for GHO.
Contribute to the preparation of quarterly Risk and Compliance Committee reports including the identification and reporting of trends and insights across incident and issue management.
Participate and assist in thematic or deep dive reviews across Cyber & IT controls/processes.
Ongoing management of key Risk stakeholder relationships.
Forming and documenting an opinion on 1st Line IT Risk Management practices and maturity.
To build the opinion on incident and issue management, you document a clear plan that captures the tasks necessary to mature the information sources, reviewing and challenging source material and working with the 1st Line to improve incident and issue management data and processes whilst ensuring adherence to the Incident and Issue Management Standard.
Please note that for the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, 2/3 interviews (either face to face or online via Teams) and background checks.
About you
Background in a Cyber / Technology / Risk function or IT audit experience preferred.
Strong risk management background either in a Line 1 or 2 role, preferably with a qualification
Global enterprise risk management experience.
Broad financial services expertise with a good understanding of corporate processes.
Knowledgeable in IT governance, Cyber Security, and industry best practice.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build cross-functional relationships.
