The Role and our Branch
The Statewide Services Division provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. The Leadership branch provides direct support to school leaders through a range of initiatives and provides high-quality, innovative and evidence-based professional learning programs for school leaders at all stages of their career.

The Leadership branch is responsible for developing strategies to coordinate the effective provision and implementation of high-level quality professional learning and support for public school leaders.
In this position you will provide high-level leadership and professional support to the Service Director, Leadership and manage the successful coordination of the Leadership Institute’s operations, including procurement and contract management of our panel of providers, and suite of programs. You will work closely with the team of facilitators and program coordinators responsible for leading the development and delivery of school and system leadership capability building programs.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check if required
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
