With our successes and reputation catching the industry’s attention, including other OEM’s, we have recently agreed to become the exclusive, national dealer network for another Light Commercial, EV range. This complements our existing business model and strategic plan, creating tremendous synergies for our newly created Manager, Light Commercial Vehicles to help us realise. With oversight across all of VDI’s operational areas, this position represents an outstanding opportunity for a suitably qualified, ambitious manager seeking to enhance their reputation across the industry. Very importantly, they will be strongly supported across the organisation and will work directly with the senior leadership team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective integration of VDI’s Light Commercial Vehicle Dealership portfolio. The scope of responsibility extends across Product and Technical, Marketing, Inventory Management, Sales, Service, Warranty and Parts operations, each of which are actively supported by VDI’s resources across each of these business functions. Key to this involves the creation of an effective, fit for purpose interface and relationship between VDI and the distributor.
Initially, this role will focus upon the successful integration of the Light Commercial portfolio within VDI’s broader operations. Once stabilised, attention will turn to leveraging scale and synergies internally, whilst growing these brands and products nationally.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills / experience:
1. 3 – 5 years Commercial Vehicles experience performing similar duties / roles, including regular engagement with senior / executive management.
2. Australian commercial, truck, bus industry knowledge of commercial market, segments and accessory / equipment experience preferred.
3. Genuine customer centric mindset and behaviours, which produce high satisfaction, net promoter, loyalty, repurchase and new customer outcomes.
4. Knowledge of industry systems - Era Power, Pentana and Pipedrive systems preferred.
5. Technical understanding of EV’s as they apply to the commercial segment.
6. Full understanding of licensing and relevant regulatory requirements relevant to Light Commercial, truck and bus.
7. Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, manage time and delegate effectively.
8. Ability to deliver agreed goals whilst operating in a dynamic, competing priorities environment.
9. Possess a current heavy vehicle drivers' licence.
