Your Role

IGO is an ASX 100 mining and exploration company focused on creating a better planet for future generations by discovering, developing, and delivering products critical to clean energy. We own and operate the Nova nickel-copper-cobalt operation and Forrestania Nickel operation both based right here in WA.

Reporting to the General Manager, the position will have responsibility for managing all the resources needed to deliver mining schedules successfully and safely. This include the IGO Mining teams, contractors engaged in mining operations, and facilities and infrastructure under IGOs control. You will also hold the statutory position as Underground Manager and Alternate Senior Site Executive.

Key duties will include:

 Lead the team to safely and efficiently deliver on budgeted metrics;

• Mentor and develop the team;
• Work collaboratively with the mining contractors;
• Development of detailed operating and mine plans to meet LOM objectives
• Manage costs and LOM budget;
• Liasing with government departments for approvals and inspections; and
• Work closely and collaborate with other IGO personnel within the immediate team and across the business.

• WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
• Ability to obtain the requisite qualifications under the new WHS regulations by April 2025
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate technical discipline
• Knowledge and understanding of WA Mines Regulations
• Current ‘C’ Class Manual Driver’s Licence
