About the Role
The core purpose of the role is to support the Head of Health Safety and Security to develop and implement the health and safety (H&S) strategic vision. This role focuses on fit for purpose Occupational Health, hygiene and injury management frameworks, processes, capability and learning that centre on preventing harm, minimising risks, meeting compliance obligations and promoting a culture or care and curiosity.
Essential to the success of the role is the ability to navigate a large high risk business, engage stakeholders in the Strategy and programs, and collaborate to properly implement effective solutions which will drive continuous health improvement.
About You
As an exceptional talent, you will bring:
- The ability to partner collaboratively, engage and influence across multiple leadership stakeholder groups
- Experience in leadership/management position including strong leadership capability
- Strong working knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated competency in uplifting organisational health and safety maturity and capability
- Experience designing and implementing psychosocial risk management framework
- Bring a lens of what ‘good’ looks like and how this can be brought to life operationally within the business
- Tertiary qualification in OHS, Allied Health, Occupational Hygiene or relevant (Degree or Masters desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in large, complex organisations and high-risk industry
