Applications Close: Sunday 23 June 2024A wonderful opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join the multidisciplinary Day Rehabilitation Program based at Bulli District Hospital for a temporary, full time position. Based in a person centered program, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in interdisciplinary practice used in assessment, goal setting and some interventions. There are also opportunities for involvement in existing quality improvement initiatives. This position has established connections with the greater ISLHD Occupational Therapy department where ongoing professional development activities and clinical support is encouraged.This temporary full time position is available until 22 September 2024 with the possibility of extension at same/reduced hours.What you'll be doingProvide a high quality occupational therapy service to patients and carers, to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the patients of the service.Where you’ll be workingis a 120 bed facility offering sub-acute Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care services across four wards. Bulli works closely with the Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Specialist team across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District to ensure a safe and timely transfer of patients who have completed an acute episode of care and require ongoing care and management. Bulli Hospital also provides outpatient Geriatric Services and a Day Rehabilitation Program. The outpatient services are supported by senior medical specialists, specialist nursing staff and Allied Health. The outpatient unit houses therapy and assessment areas for patient appointments. In addition, Bulli Hospital provides treatment for minor injury and illness, similar to a GP, via the Urgent Care Centre. - Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Current class C NSW drivers licence or equivalent.
- Demonstrated clinical skills relevant to the role.
- Demonstrated ability to be plan, prioritise, and meet workload demands.
