About the position
The Manager of Industry Programs will be responsible for managing a broad stakeholder group in the delivery of key national programs, and particularly the ARM Hub’s newly awarded AI Adopt Centre. This person will collaboratively curate highly relevant, engaging and outcomes-focused events for industry.
This role will provide expert advice and support to the ARM Hub CEO, and will report to the Director of Business and Research Partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Program Development: Build and support programs in key priority areas for First Nations Australians, regional and remote communities, and women and LGBTIQA+ business leaders and innovators.
- AI Expertise: Have a detailed understanding of, and contribute to, ARM Hub's business objectives in the AI domain, including:
- Supporting Data and AI-as-a-Service product offer to industry
- Assisting in pre-sales and post-sales activities to support client needs
- Exploring new partners and technologies in the AI and industrial technologies, i.e. robotics
- Event Content Curation: Plan and deliver highly targeted industry-relevant events, ensuring they are outcome-focused and aligned with ARM Hub’s strategic goals.
- Strategic Influence: Influence and negotiate with C-Suite executives across various industries and sectors.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across industry, government, venture investment and universities.
- Expert Advice and report writing: Provide strategic policy and program advice, communications content and reports to the ARM Hub CEO and key stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Agility and Innovation: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating curiosity, agility and the ability to deliver outcomes.
Type of appointment
This appointment will be offered on a full-time basis for 12 months, with possibility of renewal subject to funding.
Location
The role is located at the ARM Hub facility at 53 Holland St, Northgate, Brisbane.
Selection criteria
- Policy and Strategy Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in policy and strategy development related to AI and the digital transformation of Industry.
- AI Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of AI and its application in industry.
- Influence and Negotiation: Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders including C-Suite.
- Applied Innovation: Demonstrated understanding and application of innovation and commercialization strategies for start-ups, SMEs and corporations.
- Network Building: Be recognised as having strong business relationships across government, business and research stakeholders.
- Program Development: Experience in building successful Industry Programs, including programs for First Nations, regional and remote, and women and LGBTIQA+ groups.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders.
Remuneration and benefits
The position has an annual salary range of $140,000 and $160,000, plus 11.5% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
This role is being offered at 0.8 FTE, equivalent to 4 days per week. Negotiation is possible.
