Are you an experienced Oral Health Researcher? 
If so, come and work with a diverse and dynamic team within the Centre for Oral Health Strategy at the NSW Ministry of Health to promote and develop Oral Health Research across the state.

The Centre for Oral Health Strategy leads the strategic development and coordination of Oral Health policy and programs for NSW. The Centre monitors the implementation of population health-based Oral Health prevention initiatives and public Oral Health service delivery in NSW.

About the Role 
The Manager, Oral Health Research and Partnerships will coordinate and develop Oral Health Research partnerships, foster collaborative research activities with other Health Researchers, develop and consult on proposed research projects and protocols, support and foster excellence in Oral Health Research, and promote Research and evidence-based practice, to improve NSW Oral Health services and ensure quality Oral Health outcomes for patients and their families.

Selection Criteria 

1. Postgraduate qualifications in Oral Health or a relevant health discipline.
2. Demonstrated effective leadership in a clinical and/or academic environment and a proven ability to provide management of a research agenda across multiple settings and sites.
3. Demonstrated clinical research experience with peer reviewed journal publications and success in attracting Research and development grants from industry/agencies and/or nationally competitive granting bodies.
4. High level communication skills in all aspects of research including working within complex team structures and a wide range of stakeholders, and proven capacity to effectively negotiate, influence and maintain cooperative working relationships with managers, clinicians and academics towards targeted outcomes.
5. Evidence of effective supervision of Research and/or higher degree by research students.
6. Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills, including demonstrated ability in translating research findings into relevant clinical practice.
7. Capacity for self-directed work and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
