AS A Manager, QA YOU WILL…Oversee the activity of the QA team which consists in developing, implementing and maintaining a system of quality, testing for SG Fleet’s technology delivery and planning the technical environments and path to production for projects and applications. This leadership role is key to uplifting and maintaining effective software development, protecting the production systems from poor quality as well as improving end-user and customer experience.
The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement and manage processes to ensure that software products meet required specifications for quality, function and reliability prior to delivery into production
- Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for software products, communicating these to the QA team, software delivery teams and other appropriate staff
- Mature the framework and processes for all testing phases including functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, load, robustness and performance testing and their governance and leadership
- Deliver an automated testing program that will yield quality and time-saving benefits in the shortest possible time
- Develop and govern appropriate test execution status and defect reporting
- Recruit, train and provide guidance and leadership to the QA team. Develop the team’s capability and model inspirational leadership through effective people management that cultivates a strong culture of performance, collaboration, quality work, personal growth and engagement
- Develop Test Managers to manage effective UAT planning and execution, stepping into that role where a Test Manager is unavailable
Essential
- Significant experience in leading a team responsible for quality/test management across a software delivery/IT department.
- Previous extensive experience in software testing, including test case development, test strategy and test plan writing and test execution and reporting test and defect status
- Experience as a people manager; coaching, training and developing people
- Experience in test automation tools and their effective implementation and adoption
- Extensive experience in test management using Scrum and Kanban delivery models
- Solid experience in using Jira as a test management tool
- Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Advanced documentation, planning and organising skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Quality Management certification
- Agile software delivery/testing certification
