About the role:
The National Transport Manager is responsible for leading and reviewing all of the business processes with the BIDNOW and transport areas for Manheim Australia & New Zealand. You will also be responsible for reviewing and implementing standard operating procedures in addition to selecting and evaluating transport suppliers, aiming to facilitate high-quality customer service and ensure timely delivery of all vehicles. Including the business development activities, you will support business by participating in auctions as needed to help sell transport services, explore new opportunities, and strengthen relationships with current customers.
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for transport operations aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee logistics, fleet management, customer service, and supplier relationships.
- Manage data analysis, financial reporting, compliance, and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with all key stakeholders to align operational exellence with overarching business goals.
- Managing and developing a high-performing team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Ideally you will possess:
- Expert people leader with a proven track record within the Transport industry and delivering results
- Experience in strategy development, planning and the delivery of both internal and external engagement and change campaigns
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business acumen, leadership, decision-making and time management skills
- Ability to study, analyse and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
