Join our team as a Manager – Risk, where you will play a crucial role in our dynamic Enterprise Value Stream program focused on remediating customers impacted by pricing. As a seasoned professional, you will lead the development of a comprehensive plan, meticulously capturing tasks essential for enhancing the maturity of our information sources. Your responsibilities extend to rigorously reviewing and challenging source materials for accuracy. Driving transformative change management initiatives, you will instil a culture of robust risk ownership, promoting proactive approaches and resilience. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, you will provide valable risk insights into strategic decisions, seamlessly integrating risk considerations. Strengthening the organizations capability for independent line challenge, you will cultivate an environment of constructive critique and rigorous risk assessment. Additionally, you will closely liaise with defined business areas, such as financial risk and oversight of conduct, supporting environmental scanning and collaborating on the development of effective mitigation strategies. Additional Responsibilities:
- Deliver and embed the ERM framework across the Portfolio
- Recommend, implement and lead initiatives that impact on risk mitigation within the business
- Review key metrics designed to identify weaknesses in the management of operational risks for escalation to management via RAS reporting
- Drive Risk planning and delivery on specialist deep dive reviews
- Maintain knowledge of local insurance industry
- Assist drive an appropriate risk management culture
- Understand regulatory and external stakeholder requirements (including but not limited to regulators, rating agencies and shareholders)
- Provide governance and oversight over key initiatives that you lead or are involved in
- Timely escalation of incident, issues and events
As a Manager – Risk, you have extensive experience as a Risk Manager, within the financial/professional services industry, experience in first line operational risk, as well as experience of working within a large program. In addition to this, you are capable of representing a team or function in a range of interna and external forums, have the ability to influence and challenge the program and Risk Management and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
