Manager Stakeholder Relations and Engagement

The Manager Stakeholder Relations and Engagement facilitates engagement and creates meaningful partnerships with external organisations for the Department for Education. They provide high quality leadership and advice to support delivery of the department's objectives. The role requires a high degree of political acumen, leading a team of specialists to deliver a coordinated, effective and efficient service on often complex and sensitive work. The Manager ensures resources are deployed in line with department priorities and that the team operates in a dynamic, flexible manner to provide timely advice to the Minister, CE and executives. Working to the Director External Relations as part of the External Relations leadership team, the Manager is able to work concurrently across multiple workstreams to quickly identify engagement risks and opportunities, think strategically and influence outcomes.

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN  -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
