About Us
ISD oversees a $1.9 billion annual infrastructure portfolio. The planning and management of this portfolio is crucial to the smooth delivery of a high volume of projects to support the education system across the state, including significant investments in new schools, new school buildings to accommodate future growth, and the renewal, refurbishment and maintenance of existing facilities.The Strategic Asset Management Team, within Portfolio Planning, is responsible for the delivery of the department's priority actions including; improving Strategic Asset Management and capability across the division. The Team's focus is on implementing a proactive approach to manage existing infrastructure assets including contemporary project, program and portfolio management practices. This includes developing a proactive, data-driven Strategic Asset Management approach and building awareness of best practise Asset Management.

You will be actively supported, as an individual and will have access to a range of flexible work options, an employee assistance program and learning and development opportunities.More about the Portfolio Planning team is attached in our Team Profile.About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and strategic-thinking individual who can lead the development of DoE's Strategic Asset Management Plan, manage the Asset Lifecycle Condition Assessments contract and address other Strategic Asset Management issues and inform the development of future infrastructure budget submissions.To achieve this, you will have a deep understanding of the DoE infrastructure portfolio and principles of Asset Management, be able to influence others and work across boundaries.You will be able to understand available Asset Management information, including its limitations, and synthesise this into clear, user-friendly outputs. The role requires you to collaborate with a range of stakeholders, lead and influence others.What we're looking for in a Manager:
deep understanding of the DoE infrastructure portfolio and principles of Asset Management
great at stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication
excellent attention to detail and coordination skills.
