We, embrace individuals with diverse skills, experience and backgrounds, recognising the unique value they bring to CFA.Want to read more about the Country Fire Authority (CFA) click .About the RoleThe Strategic Services Group advises and supports the CFA in implementing its strategy across various functional areas including strategy development, finance, government relations, program management and communications.Within this group, the Strategy, Performance and Investment Team is the custodian of CFA's planning, investment and project management frameworks and oversees statutory reporting obligations.This opportunity, the Manager of Strategic Insights reports to the Group General Manager, Strategic Services and plays a critical role in advancing the CFA's strategic objectives. You will enhance the organisation's ability to analyse performance, make informed decisions and communicate effectively with external stakeholders. This includes positioning the CFA strategically for the Fire District Review Panel and collaborating closely with other portfolios, including the Business Intelligence team located in the Chief Information Officer's Portfolio.About YouOur ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in business management, data analytics or related disciplines, and/ or relevant significant experience in the government or emergency management sector.
- Proven ability to distil significant amounts of quantitative and qualitive information into actionable business insights and clear, compelling narratives.
- Evidence of substantial expertise in defining and executing strategic work programs in a large, complex organisation and a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and in particular the ability to synthesise large volumes of complex information into clear, concise and insightful briefing papers, presentation and reports and to create innovative data visualisations that communicate Strategic Insights.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to analyse data, devise creative and effective solutions and plans, and provide leadership in the development of novel business insights.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and inform Government decision -making processes.
- Highly developed stakeholder relationship skills, with a proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships at all levels of a complex organisation.
- Significant experience and sound working knowledge of business analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, or others.
