About the Role
SPX AtoN are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to meet the increasing global demand for our products. The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to introduce new products into the manufacturing environment, maintain and improve the manufacturing processes of existing products.
- Provide leadership in continuous improvement and drive optimisation of manufacturing
- Work with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure all products and processes are aligned to meet design for manufacturing (DFM) requirements
Tasks and responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have deep and broad experience working in a Lean, CI focused, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes for optimised production performance and efficiencies.
- Continuously refine knowledge of lean manufacturing and deploy in all facets of the facility.
- Foster and Coach continuous improvement framework and initiatives.
- Lead Kaizen Events
- Review new product releases from engineering, develop and implement manufacturing methods in consultation with the production and quality teams.
- Support production, quality and engineering with troubleshooting product and process issues to minimise any manufacturing delays.
- Plan, present, and implement expansion of production capacity and capability.
Skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant field
- Experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role or similar.
- Have a good working knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS)
- Proven experience and success in delivering new products and processes to manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of lean principles
- Experience in electrical/electronic manufacturing preferred.
