Cheetham Salt is Australia’s largest producer and refiner of solar salt, Cheetham Salt offers reliable salt products to a broad range of industries including the industrial, food, stockfeed, hide and pool sectors.
Our Bajool Operations in Central Queensland are currently seeking permanent Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. Bajool and Port Alma are about 40km south of Rockhampton and 40km north of Gladstone.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing & Warehouse Coordinator and key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Strive to maintain/improve the systems and processes that will enhance safety, quality & productivity through your team.
- Operating equipment to produce bulk and bagged products (bagging, wrapping, warehousing)
- Following the weekly production sheet to produce the required products for the week to meet DIFOT.
- To provide 12 hour monitoring and control of all plant activities relating to the manufacture of quality products in line with Food safety and HACCP.
About you
You will bring the following skills, experience, and attributes to the role!
- Completion of Leadership / Supervisor program
- Strong commitment to Safety and Quality standards
- S123
- Valid forklift licence is highly regarded
- Minimum 3 years Team Leader experience in manufacturing/commercial role
- Proven track record of safe operation in an industrial/commercial environment
- Competent in completing all associated paperwork
- Problem solving/analytical with a depth of attention to detail
- First aid certificate desirable
- A positive attitude, and a strong commitment to team building and success of the organisation.
- A desire and willingness to undertake training to gain necessary skills.
- Able to effectively comprehend written/verbal instructions and basic computer skills.
- Understanding of Employer Quality and Safety programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
