Margate Marina south of Hobart is one of Tasmania’s leading providers to the recreational boating industry. Increasing workflow has created this rewarding opportunity to join a small and dedicated team in a very important role to the business.
What’s on offer?
- A varied and interesting position in a small team and busy marina assisting in the operation of the slipyard, general maintenance and helping in all areas of the Marina. This position will report to the Marina Manager.
- Waterfront location at our Marina in Barretta, just south of Margate.

What you’ll need;
- You’ll have a stable employment background with at least 3 years hands-on experience, preferably in the boating industry, working with tools, operating equipment, doing general maintenance and physical work.
- Good levels of physical fitness, strong work ethic, honesty and willingness to “pitch in” as part of the team.
- A positive and courteous attitude with a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Be self-motivated and be reliable to deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills – written and spoken.
- A team player with a genuinely collaborative spirit, maturity, flexibility and a hands-on, “can-do” style.
- Experience in the boating industry would be an advantage.
- You must be reliable, flexible and having your own car is a plus (there’s limited public transport).
