Marine - Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a local full-time permanent Marine Mechanic to join our small team at our premises located in Bibra Lake.

Our Services Include –

• On site servicing, repair and mechanical inspections of leisure & commercial vessels
• We specialise in the supply, installation, service and repair of:
- Volvo Penta Diesel Engines

- Yanmar Diesel Engines

- MAN Diesel Engines

- Doen Water Jets

- Tohatsu Outboards

- Marine Generators

• Spare parts outlet for Volvo Penta, Yanmar, MAN, Doen Water Jets and Tohatsu

Primary Responsibilities –

• Undertake mechanical repairs as required
• Conduct regular planned mechanical maintenance and repairs as requested
• Respond to and address equipment breakdowns in an appropriate time frame

Requirements –

• Marine Mechanical Trade Certificate or similar
• Must have valid manual Drivers Licence
• Own tools of the trade
• Marine experience with a good understanding of marine engines
• Ability to work unsupervised and according to deadlines set
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic
• Be well presented
• Possess good computer skills
• Commitment to health, safety, community and environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attributes Well Regarded –

• Experience with Volvo Penta, MAN and/or Yanmar Diesel Engines
• High Risk Work Licence/Forklift
• First Aid Certificate
