Marine Electrician – Immediate Start

Our fast-expanding team of experienced Electricians, Refrigeration and HVAC technicians have built a trusted reputation for delivering superior service, reliability, quality, in service support and maintenance and repair solutions to help support Defence Marine Engineering and commercial projects.

We offer a relaxed but professional work environment with majority of work being performed in Henderson and surrounds. This is a full-time position with above award remuneration based on skills, experience and qualifications.
 

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct removal and replacement of single and 3 phase motors.
- Conduct electrical disconnect and reconnect on all types of electrical equipment including but not limited to, refrigeration and chiller/HVAC systems, power and lighting distribution systems.
- Conduct maintenance, fault finding and repairs to lighting and power systems, galley and kitchen equipment, industrial laundry equipment, chiller and HVAC equipment, marine system motors and transformers, communication systems.
- Conduct electrical system defect inspections and reports.
- Assist with on-the-job training of apprentices and other employees if required.
- Assist in managing company test and tag procedure and registers.
- Troubleshooting & general electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Completing job cards and time sheets.
- Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers.  
- Calibration of sensors including level sensors, PT100/1000’s
- HVAC control systems

To be considered for this position, we are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- Trade certificate 
- Ideally, marine experienced with exposure to Naval vessels.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and diagnostic skills showing attention to detail
- Motivated and reliable
- Enjoy working in a team environment as well as the ability to work autonomously
- Take pride in your work and your appearance
- Current Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction White Card
