Marine Group is an east coast marine repair facility that specialises in all aspects of private customers vessels. We require a qualified Marine Mechanic with diesel experience in the Gold Coast and also Sydney.
The Position
- Performing preventative maintenance and servicing on engines, generators, gearboxes and gyro stabilizers
- Diagnosis and repair of faults on engines and electrical components
- Capacity and confidence to carry out full engine overhauls and rebuilds
- Work in compliance with all company policy including OHS and Quality procedures
- Servicing and repairs of boats and engines
- Fit outs
- New engine installations
- Engine re-powers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with boats, yachts, and other marine equipment.
- Conduct inspections and assessments to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Install, repair, and replace marine parts and components, such as propellers, shafts, and steering systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding service recommendations and updates.

Skills and experience
The successful applicant should have;
- Trade Qualification as Engineering Tradesperson (Mechanic) Plant Mechanic, Cert III Marine Mechanical, Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or similar/equivalent
- At least 3 years trades experience (highly regarded)
- Own tools (essential)
- Driver's Class C Manual Licence (essential)
- Driver's HR Licence (ideal but not essential)
- Marine experience (highly regarded)
