We are currently seeking a Marine Superintendent to join our team at the Bauxite Hills project, Skardon River, North Queensland.
This is FIFO position on a 2:2 roster for someone that ideally lives in Queensland.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Marine Superintendent role is to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable daily operations of all company assets to perform the services required at the Bauxite Hills project.
The Marine Superintendent responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Scheduling barge loading and fleet availability
- Onsite supervision of the project
- Preparing daily reports
- Monitoring and promoting safety KPI compliance for the vessels and their crews
- Re-enforcing TSA's Safety Management System (SMS) at an operational level and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Supporting the onsite Safety Advisor with investigations, SWP reviews and general advice
- Conducting workplace inspections and audits
- Assisting with all aspects of technical and operational activity
- Maintaining assigned fleet in compliance with Class Survey rules and statutory regulations
- Providing day-to-day support to crew
- All aspects of crew management including training, performance reviews and performance management
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Master <24m NC or equivalent industry experience
- Incident investigation qualification eg ICAM or Taproot
- Mining Supervisor S123
- Experience in all aspects of offshore vessel operations, in particular transhipment and towing operations
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to changing demands
- Prior experience in a similar role
