Our company is leading hospitality group that has built quite the reputation for owning and operating iconic restaurant/bars and function spaces. Although it may seem as though we are a business focused on selling food and booze, we are actually in is the business of “creating memorable experiences”
We are on the hunt for a creative, strategic thinker to lead the brand and marketing arm of our business. Barman & Larder Hospitality currently manage Left Bank Melbourne, Flour Child Cocktail Bar & Pizzeria, Metropolis Events, Q Events and The Valiant Bar.
Our venues have been kicking some serious goals over the last few years and now it’s time to share the love far and wide. Our eyes are set on national expansion and there are currently 4 venues in the pipeline for 2023 with one being the much-anticipated “Il Mercato Centrale”.
This role is based in our Melbourne office and you would oversee a small team of marketing managers and social media co-ordinaters.
Now take note…this position demands experience and is important you are suitably skilled at creating concepts that are NOT of a standard nature…the stuff you will create are mind blowing and definitely exceeds expectations always! Further, we need someone who has an unparalleled eye for detail and an equally creative and tactical mind.
Some of the things you'll do:
- Oversee the development of the annual brand marketing calendars, ensuring the team are executing to 100%
- Pitch brand campaigns and product offers to key stakeholders for buy-in
- Pitch out-of-box PR stunts/campaigns that generate talkability.
- Manage and guard the various brands - ensuring all touchpoints (internally and externally) align with our brand pillars, direction, tone, aesthetic, etc.
- Mentor and develop the marketing team, using your experience and knowledge to upskill and guide strategy and decisions.
- Identify opportunities across the different brands, present them to stakeholders with recommendations for growth and improvement.
- Track and measure the KPIs of the department, driving continuous improvement
- Work closely with supply chain, operations, and finance on the implementation of new menus and campaigns
- Assist directors and the board of management by seeking out joint venture business opportunities
- Seek out all technology opportunities that offer real cost savings or sales growth opportunities
What you’ll need:
- Higher education in a related discipline
- Experience in a similar marketing role is essential
- Creative, out of the box thinking
- Unparalleled eye for detail
- Copywriting skills
- Solid understanding of social/digital marketing strategies
- Solid understanding of how the web can contribute to performance
- Cultural fit with the general brands’ identity
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in an end-to-end role
