About us
The Perth Markets site is a dynamic and fast-moving wholesale market site which attracts up to 4,000 growers, wholesalers, contractors and buyers each weekday and is the home of the popular weekly Sunday Community Market.
As the Marketing and Communications Officer at PMGL, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of the organisation’s communications and engagement strategies, the day-to-day development of content and the posting of content on the companies’ various platforms and mediums.
About the role
This position reports to the CEO of PMGL and is responsible for the execution of PMGL’s communication plan across five key stakeholder groups:
- Market West and Market West Members
- Perth Market Tenants
- PMGL Shareholders
- PMGL Staff
- PMGL Industry and Government Stakeholder
The role will have close working relationships with the Market West Member Services Manager and PMGL’s Weekend Market Manager.
Key deliverables:
- Development and execution of an Investor relations communication plan aimed at engaging and informing investors of the company’s performance and investment projects.
- Development and execution of a Tenant relations communication plan aimed at engaging and informing tenants of positive initiatives both underway and programmed for the future.
- Development and execution of a regular site-specific safety communication initiative aimed at keeping tenants and staff informed and supporting a strong safety culture.
- Daily responsibility for all digital content including but not limited to: Social media posts, Web page updates, Intranet page updates.
- Monthly Marketing KPI Reporting (Digital metrics)
Events and promotions:
- Identify and coordinate marketing programs and events aimed at increasing customer awareness of the Perth Market activities.
- Campaign and event planning and execution.
- Graphic design and content development (supported by external providers where needed)
- Aid with the coordination and promotion of the “Retailer of the Year" award.
About you
Your skillset:
- creative writing and content development.
- strong digital marketing background with experience in social media, electronic newsletters, website content and optimisation.
- strong understanding of Google Analytics and Social Media Analytics.
- Digital graphics and photography skills
- SEO skills
Your experience:
- 3 years or more years’ experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, PR or Journalism.
- A portfolio of campaign-type initiative experience
- Advocacy experience
