The Institute of Public Administration Australia South Australian Division (IPAA SA) is the largest professional body for public sector employees in South Australia. IPAA SA is a primary resource for information and opinion on the interpretation and impact of changes in government policy, innovation and reform. IPAA SA supports its mission and objectives by delivering professional development programs, events and research of particular relevance to the sector.
Responsibilities:
Membership Management:
- Oversee the membership process, ensuring seamless onboarding and renewals.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and diversify the membership base.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members, addressing inquiries and concerns.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Design and execute marketing campaigns to promote membership and events (including graphic design and website upkeep).
- Utilise digital and traditional channels to enhance the organisation's visibility.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling marketing materials.
Event Support:
- Assist in coordinating and delivering events to enhance member engagement.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing efforts with organisational goals.
- Foster relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and sponsors.
The ideal candidate is an all-rounder who likes to assist team members in ensuring excellent deliverables. The candidate must demonstrate professionalism, excel in member engagement, possesses strong networking skills, and is tech-savvy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in membership management and marketing, preferably in a professional association or similar setting.
- Previous experience in customer service and client-facing roles, including a demonstrated ability to understand and identify customer needs and communicate accordingly.
- Strong digital marketing skills, including social media management and email campaigns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CRM software is a plus.
