Marketing and Communications Manager: What's the role about?

CRANAplus is looking for a dynamic Marketing and Communications Manager to join our dedicated team and help amplify our voice in supporting health professionals in rural and remote communities across Australia.

This role is critical in supporting health professionals in rural and remote communities across Australia. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic communication plans, produce high-quality content, and coordinate organisational communications, branding, messaging, and innovations. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position is responsible for the oversight of Communications and Membership services, in addition to providing professional subject matter advice to the Executive Team.
With a deep understanding of CRANAplus’ mission, strategies, membership base, and wider stakeholder relationships, this leadership role is uniquely positioned to engage our Industry and wider consumers, through a range of communication platforms.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a dynamic and energised professional ready to join and lead our Marketing team and hit the ground running!

  • A strategic thinker: Able to develop and execute comprehensive communication and marketing strategies aligned with CRANAPlus goals.
  • A strong communicator: Proficient in both written and verbal communication to effectively convey CRANAplus's message to diverse audiences
  • A creative bent: Capacity to craft compelling narratives and innovative campaigns that resonate with stakeholders and raise brand awareness
  • An eye for analytics: Capability to analyse market trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions to optimise strategies
  • A brand manager: Experience in managing brand identity and ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
  • A relationship builder: Skill in fostering relationships with stakeholders, members, and media contacts to support organisational objectives.
  • A good time manager: Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery of marketing initiatives.
  • An adaptable thinker: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and navigate challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • An understanding of the remote healthcare context : Knowledge of healthcare industry dynamics, particularly in rural and remote areas, to tailor communication strategies
  • A leader: Capability to lead and inspire a team, providing direction and support to achieve departmental goals

The role may include, but is not limited to:

  • Being responsible for the oversight and management of content, branding and publication quality across CRANAPlus social media platforms, weekly newsletter production, CRANAplus website and magazine management
  • Guidance of the Executive Team and wider organisation to elevate CRANAplus' profile and brand awareness
  • Management of the day-to-day membership service objectives and priorities under the direction of the CEO
  • Work across business divisions to ensure services are provided that meet service and strategic objectives
  • Mentorship and lead of direct reports within the team
  • Adherence to policy and a commitment to undertake improvement activities that enhance the effectiveness of CRANAplus.
