Position: Marketing & Social Media Specialist
Hours: Casual 2 days per week (flexible hours)
Location: Work from home with attendance at events, our distillery and our cellar door in McLaren Vale to capture content. Fortnightly virtual work in progress meetings and reporting.
As a Social Media Content Creator/marketer, you will develop a 12-month content plan and create engaging content for our customers across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Shopify. You will create EDM content for a weekly email and conversion campaign content around product launches and sales events, all as part of the overall content strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team to develop a Social Media content strategy.
- Plan, deliver, review, and evaluate a range of organic content strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement with consumers, ultimately driving online sales and growing traffic to cellar door and events.
- Use Canva to design visually appealing graphics and images for Social Media posts.
- Create compelling written content for posts, articles, and captions that resonate with our target audience.
- Be able to create REELS and other short-form video content as appropriate.
- Managing Social Media accounts, including scheduling posts and engaging with followers.
- Monitor Social Media trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for content creation.
- Analyse performance metrics and use data to optimize content strategy.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for content and campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in Social Media algorithms and best practices.
- EDM creation and management
- Assist with other marketing tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Marketing or communications qualifications preferred however not necessary.
- 1-2 years marketing and Social Media content experience required.
- Experience using Canva or similar graphic design tools to create visual content.
- Creative thinking and a keen eye for design.
- Strong planning, organisational and writing skills with the ability to craft engaging and professional content.
- Desire to drive engagement and build a positive community experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Canva, Klayvio and Shopify essential.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of Social Media platforms and their use for marketing purposes.
- Skills and experience in capturing high-quality images is essential.
