Martial Arts Instructor / Taekwondo Coach

Founded in 1974, Chung Do Taekwondo boasts a rich history in Martial Arts training. We emphasize a 'Taekwondo for life' philosophy rather than purely focusing on the sport. Our mission is to develop skilled martial artists and leaders who positively impact lives, communities, and the world.
We are currently looking for a Full Time- Martial Arts Instructor / Taekwondo Coach to join our team for a position based in Chatswood, NSW, 2067. This permanent full-time role offers a salary of $75,000 to $85,000 p.a. plus super for a 38-hour work week. The ideal candidate will have a black belt in Taekwondo and experience teaching beginners through to National/ International competitors in both sparring and poomsae competition.
Responsibilities:
? Teach Taekwondo classes to both children and adults.
? Plan and execute lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
? Responsible for planning and conducting training session.
? Demonstrating proper technique during class while correcting students who are performing moves incorrectly.
? Helping students develop self- discipline, focus, confidence, and other life skills through participation in taekwondo classes.
? Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
? Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
? Assist with the organisation of competition and events.
? Assist with the marketing of Taekwondo classes and programs.
Skills:
? Relevant qualifications including black belt rank and competition experience.
? Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
? Expert knowledge of Taekwondo
? Experience teaching beginners through to National/ International competitors
? Have competed in both sparring and poomsae competition.
? Strong communication skills
? Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate students.
? Should have a solid understanding of physical fitness and conditioning principles to design safe and effective training programs.
? Must possess strategic thinking and tactical knowledge to analyse opponents, develop effective game plans, and teach students techniques during competition.
? Genuine passion for Taekwondo
