MASTER < 45M (Master 4) & MED 2 ENGINEER

Are you an experienced Master > 45m / Med 2 Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on the world-renowned Great Barrier Reef? 

Our company is seeking a skilled and motivated Skipper to join our team and help us maintain and operate our vessels in this unique and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the engineering department on board our vessels operating on the Great Barrier Reef.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment on board, including diesel engines, generators, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and maximize vessel availability.
• Supervise and train staff.
• Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables.
• Provide technical advice and support to other departments and crew members.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements:

• Master >45m & MED 2 or higher
• Excellent engineering skills
• Experience driving vessels up to 35 metres 
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
•  A friendly team leader with a can-do attitude
• A valid First Aid and O2 Provider certification
• Unrestricted rights to work in Australia
