On behalf of our client, Woodside - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is actively sourcing a Master Data Accountant for a 6 month contract located at their ‘state of the art’ CBD premises. You will work closely with various Finance Teams through Master Data creation and Governance process.
An insight into your responsibilities will be:
- Assisting the Finance Business with Master Data creation, validation and maintenance of costing
- Working independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines
- Ensuring work is compliant with all statutory requirements including tax, SOX and audit compliance and Woodside Code of Conduct
- Ensuring effective record keeping and audit trail of business records and communications
- Demonstrated experience in an Accounting / Finance / Bookkeeping capacity
- Accounting qualifications are not mandatory, although you may be studying towards an Accounting qualification or Professional Certification
- A working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP is of benefit
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in one OR more of the following areas:
- Master Data Management – creation, validation and maintenance of costing and general ledger Master Data
- SOX activities – SOX control compliance, and SOX control testing support
- Cost Accounting – understanding of cost allocation processes
- Fixed Assets – understanding of fixed asset Master Data
- Joint Venture Accounting – understanding of Joint Venture Accounting
