Job description

The Opportunity:

As a Materials Coordinator - Expedite at Liebherr Australia, you will play a pivotal role in identifying supply gaps and expediting the supply of materials from our network of suppliers. Reporting directly to the Inventory Purchasing Manager, this position requires a confident individual with highly effective communication skills, analytical skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. 

With prior knowledge and experience in supply chain, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and proactively expediting the supply of materials to meet demand requirement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively collaborating with local and overseas suppliers to highlight supply gaps and expediting the delivery of materials to overcome supply challenges 
  • Attend regular meetings with internal stakeholders and suppliers to maintain good customer-supplier relationship
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to provide updates on material deliveries, challenges, and resolution plans of constrained supply
  • Generate regular reports to update stakeholders on the status of material deliveries and potential issues
  • Implement effective strategies to mitigate stock shortages and maintain an uninterrupted flow of materials
  • Collaborate with internal departments to quickly adjust purchase orders based on fluctuating urgent demand and supply conditions
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the efficiency of the materials supply chain
  • Analyse MRP stock movements to proactively identifying and addressing potential issues in the supply chain to prevent disruptions
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation related to materials, orders, and supplier interactions

Skills & experience:

  • Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or relevant field [Desired but not essential]
  • Proven experience in materials coordination within a fast paced industry
  • Strong fundamental knowledge on supply chain processes and cause-and-effects
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and appreciation of continuous improvement
  • Skilled in Microsoft Suites [Outlook, Excel (Pivot table, V-Lookup, Power Query and etc.) and Power BI]
  • Proficient in using ERP systems
