Materials Coordinator - Expedite

The Opportunity:As a Materials Coordinator - Expedite at Liebherr Australia, you will play a pivotal role in identifying supply gaps and expediting the supply of materials from our network of suppliers. Reporting directly to the Inventory Purchasing Manager, this position requires a confident individual with highly effective communication skills, analytical skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. With prior knowledge and experience in supply chain, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and proactively expediting the supply of materials to meet demand requirement.Responsibilities include:Actively collaborating with local and overseas suppliers to highlight supply gaps and expediting the delivery of materials to overcome supply challenges Attend regular meetings with internal stakeholders and suppliers to maintain good customer-supplier relationshipCommunicate regularly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to provide updates on material deliveries, challenges, and resolution plans of constrained supplyGenerate regular reports to update stakeholders on the status of material deliveries and potential issuesImplement effective strategies to mitigate stock shortages and maintain an uninterrupted flow of materialsCollaborate with internal departments to quickly adjust purchase orders based on fluctuating urgent demand and supply conditionsDevelop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the efficiency of the materials supply chainAnalyse MRP stock movements to proactively identifying and addressing potential issues in the supply chain to prevent disruptionsMaintain comprehensive and accurate documentation related to materials, orders, and supplier interactionsSkills & experience:Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or relevant field [Desired but not essential]Proven experience in materials coordination within a fast paced industryStrong fundamental knowledge on supply chain processes and cause-and-effectsEffective communication and negotiation skillsExcellent analytical skills and appreciation of continuous improvementSkilled in Microsoft Suites [Outlook, Excel (Pivot table, V-Lookup, Power Query and etc.) and Power BI]Proficient in using ERP systemsWhy should you join Liebherr’s family?At Liebherr Australia, we’re committed to looking after you, with some great benefits including (but not limited to):A culture of reward, recognition and celebrationFlexible Work Arrangements Generous employee benefits pool, including 5 bonus leave days per year, ability to purchase additional leave, up to 10 weeks paid parental leave, early access to LSL; wide range of company discounts and retail discount program Training programs and opportunities to ensure your continued growthSoft skills and Leadership training programsAbout UsWe’re a global original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with decades of experience, knowledge, and dedication.
