AddressGeocycle is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cement Australia, the largest manufacturer and distributor of cement in Australia. Based in Dandenong South, we currently have a vacancy for a Materials Handling Operator.
In this role, you will work as part of a team to operate the plant safely and efficiently. You will have responsibilities that range from loading and unloading product, operating forklifts and working in the control room to small maintenance tasks and process troubleshooting. With the work varied and often specialised to our particular plant, we will provide you with all the training you need to become a valued member of the team.
About the role:
In this role you will be:
Unloading trucks of incoming bulk containers and pallets of waste drums
Sampling and batching of waste drums/ bulk containers
Loading ISO tanks and wash outs
Undertaking general housekeeping and forklift duties daily
The roster for this position:
Permanent Monday to Friday weekly rotating shifts - 6am-2pm days/ 10am-6pm afternoons.
Overtime shifts on Saturday may also be available
About you:
Previous experience working in an operations role, ideally in the waste treatment and or chemical industry
Forklift license (essential)
Strong safety focus
Good mechanical aptitude
A self-starter, who can work autonomously
Great attention to detail and process troubleshooting/diagnostic abilities
Basic computer skills and previous experience using SAP would be highly regarded
