Your new role
The Materials and Welding Engineer would be part of the Engineering Team, which is responsible for reviewing technical work done by the contractor(s) and providing technical guidance and assurance for renewable projects.
- Provide leadership in the areas of materials and Welding Engineering
- Provide technical expertise for the design and purchase of new equipment
- Provide advice on corrosion, corrosion control, corrosion monitoring, materials selection, materials failure analysis, welding technology, pressure equipment fabrication techniques, inspection and NDT technology.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree in Materials Science, Corrosion, Metallurgy, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
- Materials & Equipment – Has a detailed knowledge of materials, welding, inspection, NDT and corrosion engineering practices, techniques, procedures and Specifications and their application in the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards relating to design, operation, maintenance and repair of pressure equipment and tankage.
