Western Health is seeking applications for a Maternity Education Coordinator at 0.8 FTE, working as a valued senior member of the Centre for Education and Learning team.
The Grade 5 Maternity Education Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Education and Learning management team at Western Health and will work closely to and report directly to the Grade 6 Education and Learning Manager for Women's & Children's.
The Education Coordinator will ensure that services provided are focussed on respecting the rights, needs and, expectations of patients and their family.
About the Role
The Education Coordinator is a pivotal education and learning leadership role responsible for the coordination, development and delivery of programs to assist our ever growing tertiary level maternity hospital build capability and deliver Best Care.
The coordinator will be responsible for supporting and developing continuing education and the growth of undergraduate students and the Grad+ program.
To be Successful in this Role you must:
- Have successfully completed a Graduate Certificate or equivalent in management/leadership
- Hold or be working towards a Masters with an educational focus
- Have previous experience in a leadership and/or senior education management role
- Have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience with advanced clinical skills
- Have a minimum of 3 years education experience including experience in the development, implementation, assessment and evaluation of educational programs and resources
