The Role
Join our esteemed educational institution as a qualified classroom teacher, filling a specialist role in teaching Mathematics for Years 7 to 11. This is a dynamic full-time opportunity, spanning a 6-month fixed term, commencing immediately at our Shelford Girls Grammar Campus.
The ideal candidate will showcase a profound passion for captivating and stimulating students while adeptly incorporating innovative learning technologies. We seek an individual of high energy and forward-thinking mindset with VCE Mathematical methods to join our dedicated team in Term 3.
Key Duties
- Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students
- Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn and integrate Formative Assessment Techniques
- Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning
- Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities
- Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture
- Provide reports within school standards and timelines
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills and Experience
- Experienced in teaching Mathematics to years 7 – 11, with VCE methods
- A sound understanding and a passion for teaching the Victorian Mathematics curriculum
- Connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development
- Working knowledge of the IB philosophy and approach to teaching is advantageous
- Hold a Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge and experience in Mathematics
- Hold a current VIT Registration
