Job description

Our client is looking for committed and proficient Road Train Operators to join their team. As a Road Train Operator, your duties will include safely manoeuvring Road Trains, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely deliveries for our clients.

Roster: 2:1 Roster (flying from Perth)
Rates: $56.25ph + super

Machines:

  • Kenworth and Mack Trucks
  • Side tippers – triple or quad combinations
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain control of the vehicle, obey traffic laws, and adjust driving techniques based on road conditions and traffic flow.
  • Conduct regular inspections, checking mechanical components such as brakes, tires, and lights to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Utilise appropriate securing methods such as straps, chains, or braces helps maintain stability and integrity during transport.
  • Consider factors like road conditions, weather forecasts, and traffic patterns to help optimise routes for safety and efficiency.
  • Follows schedules and timelines provided by dispatchers or clients to help ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain records of vehicle inspections, maintenance activities, mileage, and delivery logs to ensure transparency and accountability.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Current & Valid Commercial Driver's License 
  • Commercial Drivers Fatigue Management Certificate (valid for 2 years)
  • Front End Loader Ticket - Loader experience up to CAT988
  • Proven experience as a Road Train Operator
  • Experience in both on-road and off-road operations.
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Able to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
