Our client is looking for committed and proficient Road Train Operators to join their team. As a Road Train Operator, your duties will include safely manoeuvring Road Trains, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely deliveries for our clients.
Roster: 2:1 Roster (flying from Perth)
Rates: $56.25ph + super
Machines:
- Kenworth and Mack Trucks
- Side tippers – triple or quad combinations
- Maintain control of the vehicle, obey traffic laws, and adjust driving techniques based on road conditions and traffic flow.
- Conduct regular inspections, checking mechanical components such as brakes, tires, and lights to ensure they are in good working order.
- Utilise appropriate securing methods such as straps, chains, or braces helps maintain stability and integrity during transport.
- Consider factors like road conditions, weather forecasts, and traffic patterns to help optimise routes for safety and efficiency.
- Follows schedules and timelines provided by dispatchers or clients to help ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain records of vehicle inspections, maintenance activities, mileage, and delivery logs to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Current & Valid Commercial Driver's License
- Commercial Drivers Fatigue Management Certificate (valid for 2 years)
- Front End Loader Ticket - Loader experience up to CAT988
- Proven experience as a Road Train Operator
- Experience in both on-road and off-road operations.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
- National Police Clearance.
- Able to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
