We have a great opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join our amazing team on a Fixed-Term Part-Time basis concluding December, 2024. This role will be 8 hours per week, two days per week, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
You will be responsible for providing high quality community based service to clients under the ESTEEM program. The ESTEEM programs’ aim is to deliver a group-based program combining exercise, socialisation and creative thinking activities to stroke survivors living in the community. This incredible program was born by asking the clients, carers, health professionals and members of the community what they would like in the program aiming to support stroke recovery.
In this role you will be required to:
- Assistant in the delivery of exercise programs
- Encourage social engagement
- Provide reports on success, barriers and outcomes of programs
- Be a pillar in the community and encourage engagement through participation, socialisation and creativity.
About you
In order to be successful in this role, you must have a Certificate III / IV in Allied Health Assistance.
Together with:
- Demonstrated experience, or a keen interest in working with the elderly, younger people who live with disability or people with dementia and their carers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage your caseload
- Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-focused style and approach
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, as well as a demonstrated ability to work autonomously
- Current NSW Driver Licence and a safe driving record
- A current NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccinations (including COVID-19 Booster)
