Steps2Life is a well-established Allied Health clinic offer Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Art Therapy and Behavior therapy to children, adolescents and their families. Having recently celebrated our 2th birthday and our second location opening in Regents Park this month, we have a solid referral base and waitlist of families eagerly waiting to access our services.
We are looking for an OT Allied Health Assistant to join our team on a part time basis of 2-3 days.
The Role
This role offers the successful Allied Health Assistant a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with clinicians in providing Occupational Therapy clinical support for children and families with disabilities and delays.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks encompassing clinical, professional, and administrative domains, including:
- Documenting client information,
- Creating and running therapy sessions under the supervision of supervising Occupational Therapists, and
- Participating in meetings.
As an Allied Health Assistant, you can expect to:
- Have fun planning and running sessions with your own clients with any combination of the following service delivery methods: face-to-face, Telehealth, or off-site.
- Gradually build your caseload based with support from your supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Learn and grow with the Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists on our team.

Selection Criteria
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance with experience working with children or currently studying Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels
- Demonstrated good organisational skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office including management of emails, word processing and database management.
