We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals for the position of a Shift Manager in our Brate Group McDonald's Restaurants. The Brate Group is an award winning organisation that operates 5 restaurants in the Canberra area - Manuka McDonalds, Molonglo Valley McDonalds, Phillip McDonalds, Weston McDonalds & Woden McDonalds.
Those with previous McDonald's or other fast food experience will be viewed favourably but we highly encourage anyone with Management Experience to apply.
Role Summary
A Shift Manager plays a critical role in the delivery of outstanding quality, service and cleanliness in our restaurants every day. In this role, through great people practices you drive a customer-obsessed culture in the restaurant to deliver excellent results. Each day you will lead the shift to ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly and safely whilst engaging with crew and customers.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
A successful Shift Manager will lead a team to deliver outstanding results during their shift in all areas of the restaurant, including:
- Customer Service
- Food Safety
- Profit
- Workplace Health & Safety and Security
- Cleanliness
In addition, they will demonstrate the following personal competencies:

- Flexibility
- Passion for Growth
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in working in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Willing and able to work a range of hours and days in order to meet operational requirements in staffing 24-hour restaurant
- Previous McDonald's or other fast food experience will be highly advantageous but not essential - Including LTS and/or department streams.
